Tara Antonipillai, law firm leadership consultant and founder of Cultivate

A lawyer, a psychology practitioner, and a coach.

I bring a combination to this work that's hard to find: a Georgetown Law JD, a Master's in Applied Positive Psychology from Penn, and a coaching certification from Brown. I practiced tax law in Big Law before dedicating my career to the question most firms are still working through — how to develop leaders and high-performing teams in a profession that wasn't designed for it.

That combination of legal experience and behavioral science is what makes Cultivate different. I understand the culture, the pace, and the pressures — and I build programs that earn credibility inside firms because they're grounded in research and built for measurable results.

Over the years, I've partnered with firms of all sizes to design leadership coaching engagements, cohort-based team programs, and firm-wide performance strategies. My work draws from performance psychology, positive organizational scholarship, and the practical realities of how law firms actually operate.

I've served as Director of Programming at the Institute for Well-Being in Law and am a member of the D.C. Bar Lawyer Assistance Committee.

Cultivate is the result of that work. Every program is shaped by real partnership with firms and designed for the specific pressures of legal practice.

How I Work

Everything I design starts with listening. I spend time understanding your firm's culture, goals, and where the friction is before I build anything. Programs are never off-the-shelf — they're designed for your people, your structure, and the outcomes you need to see.

I partner closely with firm leadership to create programs that fit the culture and produce lasting change — not just a good afternoon. And I measure what matters, so you can see the impact.

When I'm not working with firms, you'll find me in Arlington, VA, with my husband, our four kids, and our chocolate lab, Judy.
